Make better decisions on how you spend your time [table] via Michael Bungay Stanier

When I discovered Michael Bungay Stanier and his Great Work corner of the world I wondered if it was a powerful concept, clever copy and not a whole lot more. How wrong I was. Michael is the source and curator of an ever expanding corner of the universe.

I say curator because not all the value in Michael's comtent comes from his sage advice but from his ability to gather clever people around him who are sympathetic to his view of the world. Then Michael draws gems from his guests greater wisdom.

With 9+ years of faciltation experience myself, I have come to believe in the "wisdom of the crowd" i.e. with a shared framework and a nuturing environment the whole thinks more powerfully/creatively/clearly than the sum of the parts.

I loved the post below, however I love it even more because it has been cleverly faciltated and elegantly shared by Michael and because tables often help me think.

Box of Crayons | Do Less Good Work. Do More GREAT Work.

My friend Dave Aaron shared this model he created about how to make the right decision between 1. the type of work you’re doing and 2. the outcome you’re getting.

It’s genius. Thanks, Dave ~
